Who we are
Indian Echoes is an initiative by WeChoose Ventures, bringing together iconic heritage venues, the performing arts and seated dining in one immersive experience. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.indianechoes.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have over it.
For anything in this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described below, write to us at kiran@indianechoes.com.
Information we collect
We keep the amount of information we hold about you deliberately small. There are two ways it reaches us.
Information you give us
When you complete the Express Interest form on this site, you choose to give us:
- Your name and email address, so we can reply to you.
- Your phone number and organisation, where you choose to provide them.
- The nature of your interest — sponsorship, partnership, attendance, press or another category you select.
- Any message you write to us.
If you contact us directly by email or telephone instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that correspondence.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address of the device, the browser and operating system in use, the pages requested and the time of the request. These records are used to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to build a profile of you.
How we use your information
We use what you give us only for the purposes you gave it for:
- To reply to your enquiry and to continue that conversation.
- To assess and discuss a sponsorship, partnership or participation opportunity with you or your organisation.
- To send you information about Indian Echoes where you have asked us to, and to stop when you ask us to stop.
- To keep proper records of our correspondence and commercial discussions.
- To maintain the security and integrity of this website.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
The basis on which we hold it
We process your information on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form or write to us, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about the project and in running the event. Where we are required to keep records by law — for tax or contractual reasons, for example — we rely on that legal obligation.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
Cookies
This site is deliberately light. It sets a single essential cookie, used by our content platform to keep your browsing session secure and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It carries no advertising identifier and does not follow you to other websites.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Should we introduce analytics in future, this policy will be updated before we do, and you will be asked for your consent where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
Your information is seen by the people who need to see it, and no one else:
- Our team, and the partners working with us on Indian Echoes, where your enquiry concerns them.
- Our service providers — the companies that host this website and deliver our email. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
- Authorities, where we are required by law, a court order or a regulator to disclose it.
We do not transfer your information outside India except where a service provider named above processes it on our behalf, and then only with appropriate safeguards in place.
How we keep it safe
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiries are stored in an access-controlled database that only authorised members of our team can reach, and administrative access is protected by individual accounts and passwords.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. What we can say is that we hold only what we need, for only as long as we need it, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affecting your information occurs.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards — ordinarily up to three years from your last contact with us — so that we can pick up a discussion where it left off. Where a contractual or commercial relationship follows, we keep the records for as long as the law requires us to.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the other data protection law that applies to us, you have the right to:
- Ask what we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Ask us to erase your information where we no longer need it.
- Withdraw your consent to our holding it.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Complain to us, and to the Data Protection Board of India if our answer does not satisfy you.
To exercise any of these, email kiran@indianechoes.com. We will respond within thirty days.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of eighteen. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our pages link out to the websites of our partners and collaborators. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. We would encourage you to read the policy of any site you visit from here.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the project grows and as the law changes. The date at the top of this page is always the date of the current version. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
